Girl Suspended From School For Bringing Water Snake Toys

A young school girl decided to turn entrepreneur in her Wisconsin school, and she started selling 'water snake wiggly' toys. The teacher initially gave permission to the 12-year-old girl to sell the toys, and no one thought it would be a problem.

The principal saw the toys and freaked out because she thought it was a sex toy.

When Frances Habeck asked if she could sell the toys at the school, the teacher agreed, knowing that they were particularly good for children with autism.

Playing with the toys are known to promote a calming effect. After selling some of her wares, Habeck went back to her day without thinking twice of it.

Next thing the 12-year-old knew, her principal was yanking her out of a basketball game. She proceeded to yell at Habeck for selling 'sex toys' in school.

“I just learned something I shouldn’t have,” said Habeck to an NBC affiliate.

The little girl went home and told her father, Milt Habeck, what happened. The furious father called the principal to complain.

“It’s nuts because she’s an adult,” he said of the principal. “She should know better. She should know that this has nothing to do with sex.”

The school board reviewed the incident and is backing up the principal, according to Trinity Lutheran Pastor David Gehne. “We wouldn't discuss the details of any situation regarding one of our children, they're all minors," he said.

The truth is, it is hard to describe a Water Snake Wiggly, or what it does, without sounding a bit perverted. They are approximately 9-inch-long plastic tubes filled with liquid.

Even though they are perfectly innocent toys sold at children’s toy stores everywhere, you have to admit—you can understand why the teacher and school board might have looked at the toys suspiciously. However, they could have handled the matter better.
