Kendall Jenner Comes Under Fire For Not Tipping - Then The Truth Comes Out

If you’re a celebrity that’s out and about these days, it’s important to be mindful that you have a ton of eyes on you at all times. While it’s always been like that for famous faces, it’s even more apparent in today’s always-connected day and age. The simplest misstep or faux pas can be shared with the world in an instant, and there are some folks that have absolutely no filter when it comes to what they’ll share.

We see that every day on social media as it is, but it really sticks out when there’s a celeb involved. Such was the case with a recent row on social media that centered around Kendall Jenner’s tipping habits. As Opposing View shares, the 21-year-old reality star was recently at a Brooklyn bar called Baby's All Right, and the bartender claims she stiffed the crew.

That wasn’t simply a braggadocious boast either, as someone uploaded an image of the signed receipt from Jenner, complete with nothing on the tip line.

“Don’t forget to tip your bartender,” the caption read.

The post caught on like wildfire before too long, and some fans rushed to the star’s defense.

"I love [Kendall Jenner] I'm sure there's more to this story. Everyone's so quick to judge cause she's part of the Kardashians," shared one user.

Kendall would actually feel compelled to chime in and respond.

"Damn, I guess next time we won't tip in cash," she said.

Assuming that’s the case, then shame on the bartender for making such a claim in a bid for attention. Either way, it’s an incredibly bad form to be sharing a signed receipt from anyone, let alone a celeb. The post has since been deleted, and the bar has yet to offer up any kind of comments on the situation.

For what it’s worth, Kendall has been accused of bad behavior while dining out before. Back in 2014, a whole other row broke out over her stop for a bite to eat at New York's Mercer Kitchen with her friend, model Hailey Baldwin.

"Kendall got up and left and didn't pay for all the food ... about $60 worth, and without a tip. Kendall and Hailey started laughing," a source claims. "Kendall took a couple of $20 bills out of her wallet, threw them at the server and walked away, not even counting if it was enough or if it included a tip."

That matter escalated to the point that Jenner's lawyer, Marty Singer, dropped a letter on the waitress in question.

"Although you are working as a waitress at Mercer Kitchen, I understand you are also a struggling actress," he wrote. "You no doubt concocted a fictionalized account of your encounter with my client in order to create publicity for yourself. Kendall was polite and asked, 'Does this cover it?' They didn't run."

There used to be some kind of unwritten rule amongst the staff at places frequented by celebs. Perhaps that rulebook can be revisited. Otherwise, celebs should start being more mindful of where they choose to spend their dollars.
