A social media user known as Avid Climber is pretty clear on the fact that he hit the jackpot in the spouse department, and he’s not ashamed to let everyone know it. As the Independent Journal Review shares, the proud dad shared a snap of his wife while she was catching up on some sleep, and users are absolutely eating up his heartfelt words.
The dad shared a pic of him in bed with his newborn child while they were laying down in bed. Mom was nearby as well, and she was taking advantage of dad’s attentiveness to catch some z’s. Avid Climber couldn’t resist sharing a pic of the moment, and he shared a very personal story to go along with it.
“After winning a battle with testicular cancer last year we finally got our firstborn son. Pro tip: Real men take care of their baby while mommy takes as many naps as she needs. She's been through an ordeal! Suck it up, guys, and be her dream husband!” he wrote.
There’s undoubtedly plenty of mom’s out there that will wholeheartedly agree with Avid Climber’s stance, but not all of them are fortunate enough to have a partner that feels that way. Perhaps that’s why his post blew up as it did, but either way he’s being lauded with praise.
“You probably won't see this little ol' comment but you, sir, are amazing. And I love you a little bit,” shared one user.
“I could cry. This is the most romantic thing a dad can do. I refuse to have more kids because I know I'll be doing it on my own again,” shared another.
“Seeing parents work together (something I never got to experience from my own) makes me hopeful for your sweet baby. Thank you,” added another user.
While many comments praised the dad, some joked that posting a photo of his sleeping wife could get him in trouble.
One concerned user wrote “Congrats man enjoy it. Hope your wife doesn't kill you too badly for including her in the pic though.”
“Her sleeping face tells me that you're gonna hear it when she finds out you put this online. cheers!” another added.
No word on how mom felt about having a pic of her sleeping shared with the world, but she’ll likely get over it pretty quick.
