Man Rates His Blind Date Experience In Local Paper - Faces Major Backlash

Blind dates are a real gamble, but one man lost twice on one bet. The first time, he lost for going on the date. The second time, he lost for reporting what it was like.

The man revealed to a dating columnist what he thought about the girl he was paired up with, and not a lot of people were impressed by the kinds of things he had to say about the woman.

City guide Time Out New York has an 'Undatables' column that matches couples for a blind date on a weekly basis. After the date is over, the couples weigh in with the columnists to describe the big night out.

It can be fun, but daters beware - not everyone may sympathize with your version of the events.

Actor Billy Peck found this out the hard way. The 24-year-old was paired with a woman named Alyssa, also 24 years old, and the two planned to meet at a restaurant. Needless to say, it was not a match made in heaven.

Alyssa says she's single because 'she's picky', but she actually had some nice things to say about Billy. Clearly, it wasn't a love connection, but she described him as 'nice' and 'charming' and said she would at least see him as a potential friend.

Billy, however, was a little more blunt about how he really felt. He complained that Alyssa was five minutes late (she said three minutes), and it "annoyed the sh-t out of" him.

"As soon as she walked into the room, I knew she wasn’t the girl for me. She didn’t have the goods," Billy said.

Billy might actually be the pickier of the two; not only does five minutes throw him into a frenzy, but he also was horrified when Alyssa ordered her steak well done. "The waiter just looked at me, and I looked at the waiter. I was like, ‘Live your life, but this is not Outback Steakhouse, girl.’”

Billy went on to complain that his date had the nerve to want dessert. “I was trying to be nice and end the date, but the waiter was like, ‘Do you want some ice cream?’ and she was like, ‘Yay! Ice cream!’ So that was another 20 minutes.”

That's 20 minutes Alyssa will never get back. She did complain that Billy kept telling her not to be nervous, and she says she wasn't, so it just made things awkward. Both agreed they're not interested, but Billy made out as though it was a major sacrifice. "I feel like I took two hours of my time and kind of just burned it," he said.

If Billy thought he was a catch, he was so wrong. People on social media slammed him for his attitude.

"I love when men out themselves as being complete d--ks via their responses in the undatables section of Time Out New York," wrote one person on Twitter.

"Even though I'm not attracted to her I still HAD to sit there for two hours and pretend not to be a complete snake," one Twitter user wrong, mocking Billy.

"And THEN she wanted ICE CREAM... Ohh, the torture," said another.

"I just noticed she was only 5 minutes late? Does this dude not have an Instagram feed to scroll thru to pass five minutes?" one person wondered.

"He doesn't have the goods I promise you," said another Twitter user, seeming to speak for a lot of people.
