Man Who Killed Woman By Pulling Intestines Out Of Vagina Reveals Why

A man took a plea deal in the murder of his girlfriend, who he disemboweled in a blind rage. As part of the deal for confessing, the death penalty was taken off the table. The man will be spending the rest of his life behind bars.

Fidel Lopez, a 26-year-old man from Miami, will avoid the death penalty for murdering his 31-year-old girlfriend, Maria Nemeth. Lopez had tried to bargain so that he would be let out in 50 years, but it was refused. It was finally settled that he'll spend life in prison.

The murder occurred in September of 2015. Lopez and Nemeth were having sex in their apartment when Nemeth called out her ex-husband's name. Lopez, who was drunk at the time, later admitted that he flew into a blind rage. Nemeth, who had also been drinking, passed out.

Lopez began smashing up the aparment, punching holes in the wall, upturning furniture and breaking doors. He then began sexually assaulting Nemeth by shoving objects into her vagina. This included a tequila bottle and a hair straightening iron. He then reached his hand up her vagina, elbow deep, grabbed her intestines and pulled them out.

Lopez brought Nemeth to the bathroom and tried to revive her by splashing cold water on her face, but he was unsuccessful. Nemeth vomited and then collapsed. He went outside to smoke a cigarette, then called police.

At first, he reported that his girlfriend was having trouble breathing and he was worried that she was going to die.

When police arrived, they found Lopez on the bathroom floor, crying over his girlfriend’s body. They were shocked by the home being in such a state of disarray, and quickly realized this was not just a medical problem. There was blood smeared on the walls and pieces of organ tissue laying around, they confronted the boyfriend.

Investigators thought Nemeth might have tried to perform an abortion on herself, but when they looked closer at the body and found chunks of hair around, they realized it was more likely assault. Lopez tried to convince the officers that they were drunk and having ‘rough sex’, when she got sick suddenly and ran to the bathroom.

Police coaxed Lopez into telling them what really happened. Finally, the boyfriend confessed that he 'snapped' and became a 'monster' because she called out the name of her ex-husband.

"She changed my name," he told investigators, reports WFOR. "She called me the name of the other [expletive] guy. And she said it twice and she was wrong and she was confusing me with him. At that point, I get mad. I get really, really mad."

Lopez later expressed remorse. "If I was sober, maybe I would have just left the apartment. But I was drunk."

"People drink but there is no excuse for that," said a tenant in the same apartment complex. Nemeth was the complex manager.
