Mom Horrified When She Discovers What Boy Was Doing To 5-Yr-Old

One mother discovered that something absolutely horrifying was going on in her house, and she's opened up about the disturbing ordeal.

The mother of a 5-year-old rape victim has spoken candidly about how her daughter is struggling to come to terms with being sexually assaulted by her half-brother during his fortnightly visits. An ordeal that began when the little girl was just four-years-old, her 12-year-old half-brother would rape his sister during games of hide and seek before bribing her with skittles to stay quiet.

The mother of the distressed 5-year-old opened up in Brighton Youth Court, painfully reliving the details of how her daughter was repeatedly raped by her half-brother.

The unidentified mother described the “shadow [that came] across [her] child’s face,” at the mention of her half-brother and revealed that her daughter finally told her mother of the incidents, indicating where she was abused on a doll, after she was “waking five times a night with night terrors.”

The little girl was so traumatized by the incident that she “cried uncontrollably for 45 minutes,” asking her mother “how do I stop crying mummy? Help me, help me.”

“The shadow returns ever time his name is mentioned,” the mother began. “She still wakes crying and calling to me. She has suffered separation anxiety. She panics if I leave her for even a couple of minutes, if I just move to a different room.”

The youth court hearing, held at Brighton Magistrates’ court, East Sussex, was told the gruesome details of the repeated assault, hearing the mother of the victim describe the sickening ordeal: “She said he offered sweeties to do this. She said she didn’t like it but she liked the sweeties.”

“I said to her liking sweeties was perfectly all right but he should never have offered her sweets to do something like that,” the mother continued, expressing that her daughter was “clearly disgusted” by the incident, stating “he made me like skittles.”

The mother revealed that her daughter’s half-brother would visit their home every couple of weeks and revealed that the boy “seemed to care about her,” and that the pair previously had a good relationship. Out of the blue, the young girl told her mother that she didn’t like her brother and hoped he wouldn’t visit.

“She told me it happened a thousand times,” the mother admitted, utterly devastated. “She said ‘don’t tell him’ because he had told her not to say anything.” The mother has grave concerns for her daughter’s wellbeing, confessing that she is “so scared for her future.

Even once the court process is over this goes on for her.”

“Unfortunately, I know there will be more difficult times to come. Long term she will have to deal with the repercussions of her traumatic experience for the rest of her life.”

The toddler's brother, now 14-years-old, was released on bail until he appears at Lewes Crown Court. The reprehensible teenager is set to face a significant amount of jail time.

The mother concluded her statement by praising her daughter’s extraordinary bravery, stating “I can’t end this statement without saying what an amazing little girl she is.”
