A mom in Ohio is facing charges after her young son drank vodka that she had hidden inside a sippy cup that she had snuck into a high school football game.
30-year-old Andrea Mucciarone has been hit with a child endangerment charge after her 23-month-old son consumed the alcoholic drink in the sippy cup and had to be taken to the hospital.
Police claim Mucciarone smuggled the vodka into Conneaut High School for a football game late last month.
The toddler apparently drank from the cup by accident, and a relative noticed that the boy couldn't stand up right after the game.
The boy was then driven to the hospital, according to local media sources.
As required by law, employees at the UH Conneaut Medical Center then called police at 11 pm to report a boy had been received in the ER after ingesting alcohol.
Of note, Mucciarone has pled not guilty to the first-degree misdemeanor charge, and could receive up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine for the crime if convicted.
The boy is currently living with relatives until the case is resolved.
