A surveillance video at a Cincinnati drive-thru window captured a harrowing scene. Apparently the driver had kidnapped a woman and baby and the woman chose the moment to try and escape. The driver managed to wrestle the baby away and flee.
Jessica Wilson and her kids were kidnapped by her toddler's father, Levenski Crossty, 27. He was holding the mother and children captive in the car and went through the McDonalds drive-thru to get some food.
Wilson later reported that Crossty broke into the home where she was living with her four kids. He climbed in through a window after removing an air conditioner. Wilson says she tried to lock herself in the bathroom but he pushed his way in and beat her.
Crossty ordered Wilson and her kids in the car, and raved that he wanted to see who she had been texting. He demanded her password for her Smartphone and continued to hit her. Crossty tried driving the family to his sister's house, but Wilson tried to escape. He threw her back into the car and drove the family through a McDonald's drive-thru window.
When he stopped at the window, Wilson, who had their toddler on her lap, grabbed the baby and got out of the car quickly. Crossty quickly reached out and grabbed her by her waistband, lurching her back. She kept trying to lurch free. As the horrified drive-through worker looked on, Wilson waved and appeared to be calling for help.
Crossty jumped out and tried to pull the woman back in. Though the man kept trying to get a grip on her and pull her back, the determined mother, with her baby in her arms, kept fighting her way to the window. The drive-thru attendant reached out for the baby, who Wilson tried to hand over for safety. Crossty got between them, grabbed the baby, got into the car and drove away.
Crossty was arrested, but claims that there was no kidnapping. He says he had taken the four children because he was trying to protect them from Wilson, who he says was drunk at the time.
