Mother Who Strangled Baby Because Husband Was Cheating Learns Her Fate

A mother was furious when she thought her husband was seeing another woman. She made a chilling video on her phone to try and force her husband to answer her call.

She took the couple's young son and put a cord around his neck, threatening to strangle the little boy. The woman was arrested, but soon after she was released and given back her son.

Nareumon Jampasert, of Bangkok, Thailand, told police she was under a lot of stress. Her online business was doing poorly and she thought her husband was with another woman.

When he wouldn't answer her calls or give into her demands to come home, she wanted to get his attention.

Jampasert took the couple's toddler, Theeradej Saisupan, and wrapped a black cord around his neck. She filmed herself as she very briefly suspended the child in the air, hanging by his neck. The young boy squealed in pain, and the mother then let him go.

Speaking into the camera, directly to her husband, she said,

"You see, Joe. You care about people a lot. This is your son. This is a rope. Look at him. He not dead. I have not killed him yet. Look at him. I will take him to die somewhere. You have to wait to see me today."

The 28-year-old mom then threatened, "If you don't come back to take him, you have to wait to see what happens today. You don't answer your phone, yeah?"

Jakrit Saisupan, the 32-year-old husband and father, was frantic when he got the video. He sent it to his sister and mother to try and get help. They posted the video online, calling for someone to go to the home and help the little boy.

Police got wind of the situation and went over to Mrs. Jampasert's house. She was arrested and the boy was given a medical evaluation by paramedics.

Jampasert broke down and cried, telling officers about how hard her life has been.

"I'm hurting a lot. The first thing I was thinking was that I wanted to kill myself. I did this to the baby because I wasn't thinking, and I was emotional. In my heart I'm thinking my husband does not care about his son, does not care about his wife," she said.

She says after she made the video she spoke to her husband's family. "After I spoke with his family it was OK, and me and the baby went to sleep."

She was then stunned when police showed up.

Officers decided not to charge Jampasert, and her husband didn't want to press the issue any further. Authorities are chalking it up to a 'family disagreement'.

"We will not proceed with charges against the mother because if she goes to prison, who will take care of the child?" said authorities in response to questions from the media.

Social workers are planning to meet with the family to investigate and make sure the child will be safe. The child is also being brought to a hospital for a full medical exam.
