Nanny Reveals Disturbing Information On Madeleine McCann’s Disappearance

At the age of three, Madeleine McCann disappeared without a trace. Her family was on vacation in Portugal and little Madeleine was asleep in a room with her twin brothers. Her parents were down in a restaurant with friends enjoying their vacation, and adults would take turn checking on the kids. When her mother went up around 10 pm, she was gone.

It's been 10 years, and the little girl hasn't been found yet. According to The Mirror, a woman who worked at the resort as a nanny is finally breaking her silence. The woman reportedly took care of the McCann children several times during the vacation.

Kate and Gerry McCann, both physicians, have been criticized for leaving the children alone in the vacation apartment. The restaurant was about 130 yards away from the room, and required that one actually leave the resort grounds, walk on public road and re-enter the resort grounds at another point. Even though adults were checking on the kids, for many people, this was just too great a distance for comfort.

The nanny says she really never thought anything of it, because it was apparently a common practice for parents to go to a restaurant while leaving sleeping children behind in a room at the resort.

Some people have speculated that the McCanns gave the children something to make them sleep, and that Madeleine died from it. Theories say that Kate went to check on her daughter, found her dead, crawled out the window with her and put her in the trunk of the car so she could dump the body somewhere later, then called for help.

Others say there were more sinister motives in play, which is why the children were left alone in the first place.

The nanny, after seeing the state of the parents the morning after the disappearance, disagrees. She doesn't think that the McCanns were involved with the little girl's disappearance.

"[Kate] was pacing up and down. The worst possible thing had just happened to her... She was crying, but almost in a catatonic state, and Gerry was very distressed... That's the one thing I really remember from him, looking under the cars. I can't forget that," said The Mirror.

What does the nanny think happened to Madeleine? “I hope she is still alive. It's probably very naive, but the best-case scenario of a very horrible situation, is that she was procured and taken for a rich person who didn't have children,” she says.

She adds that the only one who really knows what happened that night is probably Madeleine herself.
