Nurse In Hot Water After Twitter Post About White Women Having Babies Went Viral

A pediatric nurse was fired from her job at an Indiana University Health hospital after racially charged tweets went viral. The black nurse ranted about white women raising sons that are a 'detriment to society', and suggests that all white male babies be 'sacrificed to the wolves'.

Taiyesha Baker posted a tweet that went viral and eventually got back to her new employer.

The woman says in the racially charged tweet, "Every white woman raises a detriment to society when they raise a son. Someone with the HIGHEST propensity to be a terrorist, rapist, racist, killer, and domestic violence all-star. Historically every son you had should be sacrificed to the wolves B--ch."

Baker is reportedly a registered nurse who was new to her position at Indiana University Health, though the company will not say in which facility she was working. They did put out a statement saying that they were dealing with the matter.

“IU Health is aware of several troubling posts on social media which appear to be from a recently hired IU Health employee,” the statement read. "Our HR department continues to investigate the situation and the authenticity of the posts. During the investigation, that employee (who does not work at Riley Hospital for Children) will have no access to patient care.”

On Sunday, the hospital said that she was 'no longer an employee'.

The comments outraged a lot of conservatives. One man tweeted that the hospital should 'see if any babies have mysteriously died, or been injured'.

A hospital spokesperson further elaborated in an email, "She was still going through orientation and wasn’t caring for patients," and that, “She had no disciplinary issues prior to this matter.”

Baker has been connected to the Black Lives Matter movement. She was at Indiana University in April 2017 with demonstrators protesting an appearance by controversial Libertarian author Charles Murray.

Baker's Twitter account was shut down, but someone revived the username 'Night Nurse' and temporarily made a new account. The anonymous person began adding posts on the account mocking President Donald Trump and Baker.

The photo of Baker was replaced with a photo of Pepe the Frog. Pepe the frog is an internet cartoon character who became a popular meme. It was appropriated by the alt-right movement and has been since considered a hate symbol or espousing racist views.

Pepe also replaces President Trump in an image, sporting a yellow combover.

Speaking as Baker, the Twitter user wrote, “I am an awful racist with terrible opinions and I will never go anywhere in life if I keep this up. Who needs a job anyway when you can have worldwide hatred.”

“Yall mad cause i get more mentions and followers in an hour than you get in a year," another tweet reads.

This second Twitter account has also been shut down.

The real Baker has refused to speak to the media about her posts or about her recent termination.
