Police Find Two Women Drunk In Mall Parking Lot With Their Young Infants

According to police in Salem, New Hampshire, two moms were so drunk at a local mall last week they were “barely able to stand” and unable to care for their infant children.

The police report notes that both women were found trying to care for their babies in a parking lot outside the Mall at Rockingham Park.

The women were apparently “barely able to stand” when police arrived to investigate after calls from passers-by.

Moreover, when the cops showed up, one of the mothers was holding her baby above her head while sitting in a puddle of liquid, possibly urine.

“Officers noticed that the females were barely able to stand, let alone care for the infants,” according to a police statement.

The women said they were the biological mothers of the two babies also present, a 1-month-old and a 4-month-old.

Both 22-year-old Baylie Lecolst and 24-year-old Amber Giordano were arrested on child endangerment charges.

The mothers were released later in the day, but will be arraigned in Salem on Halloween morning.

The two infants were placed into the custody of family members, and investigators are currently working with the New Hampshire Department of Children, Youth, and Families to determine how to move forward.
