Teen's Distress Call Leads Police To House Of Horrors

A 16-year-old girl called police in Michigan after she was picked up by a man in a silver van. She was lost and the man offered his cellphone to her to call her parents.

When she climbed inside, he drove off. The driver, later identified as 46-year-old Jeffrey Willis, reportedly locked all the windows and doors as he hit the gas with the girl inside.

He then told her his phone didn't work. He drove off in the opposite direction from where she needed to go. During that time, she tried to think of how to escape. She broke out of the moving car and rolled onto the pavement.

She was covered in road rash, as she ran away as quickly as she could. She had no idea what else could have happened.

Police were able to catch up with Willis later, finding two locked boxes in the van. The teen was able to point out Willis in a line-up.

Investigators found five syringes, handcuffs, and rope, but also chains, a mask, rubber gloves, batting gloves, a bar with wrist restraints, a ball gag, and photos of females chained and bound. In the second box, they found a .22-caliber semi-automatic pistol with the serial numbers destroyed, as well as .22-caliber ammunition.

They decided to get a warrant to search his home. Once there, they found he had a wife.

In addition, the found images of child pornography and videos of bound and gagged women on a thumb drive in the couple’s house. The clear substance in the syringes still needs to be tested.

Investigators believe one of them contained a sedative Willis planned to use on his victim. Moreover, police believe that Willis played a part in the disappearance of two other Muskegon teens, one of which went missing on April 16.

He received charges of charges of kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, and two felony firearm counts. His bond was set at $1 million.
