A couple who were married for 60 years promised 'till death do they part.' They broke that promise; death has come, but they're not yet ready to part. The husband got a shocking message from his deceased wife, and the two expect to be reunited in Heaven.
Jimmy Breland, a former minister, was devastated when his wife Billie died. The two tied the knot in 1954 and have been together until Billie's death in 2015.
Billie, a retired school teacher, was very organized. She liked to write notes to help keep things organized. She would always leave little messages here and there about things that needed to be done, or to remind her of little details.
Two days after his wife's death, Jimmy was missing her terribly. He started going through her things to comfort himself. When he came across her checkbook he found a little note folded up and tucked inside. It was so Billie.
Jimmy pulled out the note and unfolded it, expecting it to be something mundane such as an account password or budget calculation. Instead, he was surprised to find a message to him, from Billie.
"Please don’t cry because I died! Smile because I lived!" Billie wrote. "Know that I’m in a happy place! Know that we will meet again! I will see you there!"
The message comforted Jimmy tremendously in his time of grief. The couple's grandson posted the message to Facebook, and it's gone viral. Hopefully their enduring love will inspire others to not take life for granted.
