Melanie Fiona Will Make An Appearance TODAY at Carol’s Daughter (Harlem)

New Artist Melanie Fiona will be at Carol’s Daughter’s flagship store TODAY in Harlem from 4pm-6pm. She will most likely be there to promote her new album “The Bridge”. This Canadian born singer is definitely taking over the US and one of All Thats Fab’s favorite artist!

ODB Documentary Will Premiere In NY

Russell Jones’ (aka ODB) Documentary “Dirty: One Word Can Change the World” will premiere in Harlem next week Tuesday (November 10th) at The National Black Theatre. This is close to his 5 year death anniversary, as ODB died November 13, 2004 due to an accidental drug overdose. The Documentary was directed by his cousin Raison Allah. After the documentary ends, there will be a special performance by some members of the Clan and a discussion with the viewers.

Rev Al Sharpton’s Daugher Gets In Some Trouble

Friday night Rev Al Sharpton’s ex wife and daughter got into it with the NYPD. Shaprton’s daughter Dominique was driving in Harlem and ran a red light, which led to her being stopped by the cops. His daughter then called her mother Kathy Jordan, which when arrived at the scene saw her daughter in cuffs in the back seat of the cops car.

Black Voices is saying that Police state that Dominique was the more vocal of the two and argued more passionately than her mother against the summons. The futile arguments only wound up in the arrest of the two women for charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction of governmental administration charges. The pair were issued desk appearance tickets and allowed to go home.

SMH…New York Drivers. Road rage is no joke.

Courtney Love Joins the List of Hollywood Celebs Moving To NYC

Look who decided to up and move to NYC…Yes Singer Courtney Love. She tells the NY Daily News that she was chased out of her own town Los Angeles , by her former employees.

One night, Love says, “a flood of guys, at least 10, came to my house. They said there was an ambulance outside, even though we never saw one. I tried to be charming. But one of the guys points a gun at me. My daughter, Frances, ran and hid under the house.”

Love is known for her crazy antics and drug abuse, but she will fit right into the crazy life of NYC. She is living in the Tribeca area.

A Run DMC Musical About Their Life in the Works

The NY Times is reporting that Run DMC has met with Paula Wagner, a Hollywood producer to talk about doing a Broadway musical about their career and life, and Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels will be in NY to look at their options this week. The estate of Jason “Jam Master Jay”Mizell is also involved in working on the project. The musical would feature the group’s original music and maybe some new material as well.

Paula Wagner, who is admittedly a lifelong Run DMC fan, had this to say about the group:

“Their work speaks to everybody,” Ms. Wagner said in a telephone interview, “and the story of their rise to fame is innately theatrical.”

So far, there is no definite timetable for the project, but we’ll definitely be on the look out!

Mariah Carey Gets Stripped in NYC

Mariah Carey performed Stripped in NYC recently. She did an extremely great job on her performances; she sung “Always Be My Baby”, “We Belong Together”, “H.A.T.E.U”, “Obsessed” and “I Want To Know What Love Is”.

She also plans to do a remix of her current album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel featuring R. Kelly, Trey Songz, T-Pain and many more artists.

Mariah is also rumored to be pregnant, if so congrats to her and husband Nick Cannon. Check out the performances after the jump (maybe you can catch a baby bump):

Wyclef Jean Working On A Memoir and More…

Haitian Sensation Wyclef Jean has signed an agreement with HarperCollins Publishers to write a memoir on his life, from growing up in Haiti to his successful musical career. He will be collaborating with Rolling Stone writer Anthony Bozza on this book. No release date has been set as of yet.

Wyclef Jean has also collaborated with Timberland on a 16-boot footwear collection and with every purchase of these boots, $2 will benefit the Yele Haiti Foundation, a grassroots movement he founded to support reforestation in his homeland, Haiti. The Wyclef Jean x Timberland Earthkeepers Collection will be available late November 2009. He will also be having a meet and greet next month to promote his new line:

Forbes Says Tyra Banks is One of Primetime’s Biggest Earners!

Tyra Banks has topped Forbes List of the richest women on primetime TV. She is definitely following footsteps of her idol Oprah Winfrey, and has earned a wopping $30 million during the 12-month period of June of 2008 to June of 2009. This money comes by way of her hit series “America’s Next Top Model”, her daytime show, and other endorsement deals. Tyra has definitely come a long way from her supermodel days and acting.

Two thumbs up for her!

Shyne’s Father Pleads to Gov Patterson + Denies Diddy Phone Call

In the latest news on the rapper Shyne, his father the Belize Prime Minister, Dean Barrow has written a letter our New York Governor David Paterson to let his son stay in the United States, but he has not gotten a response yet from him.

“I have spoken to people close to the Governor and I have been assured that the letter was received and that it was, in fact, under active consideration. I can’t say that I am able to call in any favours such as to guarantee he will be able to remain in the States,” the Prime Minister said

This will be a tough decision to be made for Shyne…but should he get special treatment because his father is the prime minster of Belize or he is a rapper? Look at so many people that have served time and had to go back to their countries.

Remember when we reported about Diddy saying that he spoke to shine and that he wished him while on his release? Well, according to Shyne, that conversation never happened:

“I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combs’ imagination,” he says in a statement. “He never spoke with me, he never visited me nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident.”

Wow. Diddy, you have some explaining to do!
