Jay-Z and Jeezy Bring Lil’ Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj on Stage at MSG

Jay-Z’s performance at Madison Square Garden last night for his Blueprint 3 tour not only featured Trey Songz and Young Jeezy, but Jeezy also brought Lil’ Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj on stage as well. That’s right, for those that don’t know, Lil’ Wayne as actually supposed to report to jail yesterday, but because of a fire, he was able to see freedom for one more day. As a result, he was able to hit MSG with “the other Mr. Carter”, and brought along Nicki Minaj as well.

So Lil’ Wayne avoids jail, but he manages to be there to perform at the Garden? Somethin’ ain’t right. Regardless, we are so tight that we weren’t there!

Last Night, Ludacris performed his smash hit single, “How Low,” on David Letterman, and the rap vet gave a great performance of the club banger. He was full of energy and seemed to enjoy himself the whole time. Luda is just on point right now. The promo for this new album is crazy!

Ludacris also did something very rare by leaking a song from his album on purpose. He gave the world a taste of a track called “Sex Room” featuring Trey Songz (of course!). You can check out that track after the jump.. “Battle Of The Sexes” drops March 9th.

Rihanna Appears On AOL Sessions + Download the Live Album

Rihanna appeared on AOL Sessions to promote her latest album, Rated R. We got a chance to watch her performances yesterday and enjoyed all of them, surprisingly. Her album, “Rated R,” is currently in stores now and her single, “Rude Boy,” is rising up the charts slowly but surely.

The best performance is hands down “Rude Boy”, she just seems in her element while performing that record. We are predicting “Stupid In Love” is going to be her next single, being that it’s just a good followup to this club track.

Video: Solange Performing “Tell Me” by Groove Theory

Her notorious and bitter Twitter outbursts may put her in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons , but there’s no denying that Beyonce’s little sister Solange knows how to put on a live show! Over the Valentine’s weekend the songstress helped out Brookyln-based Rock band Dirty Projectors with their performance of Groove Theory’s classic “Tell Me” at the opening of a new Ace Hotel New York store. Her vocals aren’t the best, but she still puts her own twist on it.

This song was our jam back in the day, and it still brings back memories when we here it played on Pandora. Solange has really come into her own, you have to applaud her for that. Her big sister was just named best-selling female of the decade, and while its hard to shine with that type of shadow over you, Solange has managed to stand on her own.

Yesterday, The Brit Awards took place over in London and had some great performances from a couple artist. The stand out performer of the night had to be Lady Gaga, who did a tribute to the late Alexander McQueen.

We loved how she switched up the lyrics, to “Telephone” in honor of the designer. Her solo performance to “Dancing In The Dark” was sick as well. GaGa took home the awards for Best International Breakthrough Act, Best International Female, and Best International Album for “The Fame.” Congrats GaGa.

Jay-Z & Alicia Keys also took the stage to perform “Empire State Of Mind“, this song is kinda played out now. They both need to just let it go. I wonder how people that don’t live in NYC feel about this song now. But this was hands down the best Alicia Keys has ever looked and sounded.

Usher & Alicia Keys Headline NBA All-Star Game Halftime

Usher & Alicia Keys shutdown Dallas last night during the NBA All-Star Game halftime show. Usher brought some new material to the stage performing a track entitled “More“, which will appear on his new album, Raymond Vs. Raymond, set to drop in March. He also got the crowd hype while performing his hit “Yeah“. His outfit was pretty questionable we must say. That leather armor was a bit much.

Alicia Keys was just being A.Keys during her performance. She needs to learn how to walk in heels seriously, it’s very obvious. We did love her remix of “Empire State Of Mind“, she added a few lines to fit with the event. When is she going to start performing “Put It In A Love Song“? That is our jam right now.

Trey Songz Hits Up BET’s 106 & Park

Now you all know we love Trey Songz, but we can’t really get into BET’s 106 & Park anymore; However we did make the exception when Trey Songz came on the perform for the viewers. Trey shut it down performing ALL his latest singles.

It’s great to see Trey getting some success, he’s been one of our favorite R&B crooners for a minute and he’s definitely talented. His latest album “Ready” has officially reached Gold status and be on the lookout for his video for “Yo Side Of The Bed” starring Keri Hilson soon.

Toni Braxton performed her new single “Make My Heart” for the first time on TV on the The Wendy Williams Show, and worked it out for the crowd. The funniest part was THE KIDS dancing behind her. (Did she do that just for Wendy? You know Wendy lives for the kids.) We are loving her new short cut, that is the Toni we all know and love.

Toni Braxton also chatted with Wendy about her family, separation from her husband, Kerry Lewis, of nine years, and kissing Trey Songz at the Soul Train Music Awards. Word on the street is that Toni is lining up a lot of magazine covers around the release of her album and is also starring in her very own reality show very soon. You know we’ll be watching.

Last night, Sade stopped by the David Letterman Show to perform her hit single “Soldier of Love“. At 51, she looks absolutely amazing, and like she’s not a day over 30. After not recording for over 10 years, this woman STILL has everyone talking and excited about her album, which dropped yesterday as well.

Last night, Robin Thicke and Nicki Minaj were spotted outside of Sullivan Theatre preparing to appear on The David Letterman Show. (Wow, Nicki, that’s a great look!) They performed their song “Shakin’ it for Daddy”, which is on Sex Therapy, Robin’s most recent album.
