Allthatsfab.com has had a great, positive 3 years of success, and we have to thank our readers for the continued support.

Unfortunately, this will be the last post on ATF. But it’s not the end for Martine Cauthen, Aura Harewood, Ian Jarrell, and Stephanie. You will still see the three of us out and about in NYC exploring what the city has to offer.

Thank you to our contributing writers, everyone in the industry that has supported our site full-heartedly, and the media/PR experts that have always kept us in the loop when it came to events, celebrity interviews, and so forth. And again, thank you to our fabulous readers.

In Case You Missed It: Kelis “Drops it Low” at Club 57

Kelis returned to NYC this past weekend to bless her hometown with new music from her upcoming album Flesh Tone. On Saturday she rocked crowds at GLOW (Long Island) and Club 57 (NYC) with performances of her #1 hit “Acapella” and new song “4th of July”. She even showed off her moves to Major Lazer’s “Pon De Floor”. The weekend was capped off by a surprise performance at her best friend Legendary Damon’s birthday bash at Juliet where the crowd went nuts as she sung “Acapella”, “4th of July”, and yet another new track from Flesh Tone, “22nd Century”.

Get it! Look at her hitting splits and whatnot. Love her – she is fearless!

Btw, did you know her song “Acapella” is the #1 dance song in the country? Who knew?

Recap: Alicia Keys, Robin Thicke and Melanie Fiona Concert at MSG

Last night, the Alicia Keys tour stopped in New York at Madison Square Garden, and I got to enjoy performances from her, Robin Thicke, Melanie Fiona, and some special surprise guests. Check out the recap when you continue reading.

Rising star, Melanie Fiona kicked things off with her soulful voice and contagious energy. The last time that we saw Mel perform was at the small, yet popular, venue SOBs, so its really amazing to see how much she has progressed since then. She performed her hits, “Ayo”, “Give it to Me Right”, “Monday Morning”, and of course, closed out with her #1 single “It Kills Me”. In between she also completely tore up a rendition of Chaka Khan’s “Sweet Thing”. Good job, Mel!

Next up, was Robin Thicke.

This was my first time seeing Robin Thicke perform, and he didn’t disappoint. He didn’t bring out any special guests, however he did perform his collabos such as “Shooters” (minus Lil’ Wayne) and “Shakin’ it for Daddy” (minus Nicki Minaj). The highlight of his performance was definitely his dance moves, as this white boy can not dance to save his life! He was trying though He also performed his hit song “Lost Without You”, which was most definitely the crowd favorite, and ended his set with a tribute to Lil’ Wayne by playing and rapping to “A-milli”.

Lastly, Alicia Keys came out and tore it down! I’ve seen Alicia Keys perform live before when she was on tour with Beyonce and Missy Elliott back in the day, and she surprises me every time. Looking at her, you wouldn’t think that she could dance, but that girl can really move! I was shocked.

She entered the stage in a cage singing a song that I’m not familiar with (I don’t have her new album, sorry), but her vocals were flawless. At this point, I was pretty tipsy so, to be honest, I can’t remember EVERY single detail about her performance, but I do remember that she definitely had the crowd on their feet for the majority of it. Not only that, she surprised the crowd brought out the one and only Beyonce, to perform “Put it on a Love Song” off of her new album, and the crowd went bananas! Check out the footage below:

Their choreography was a bit “interesting”, but I LOVED it all the same.

Lastly, A. Keys closed the show out with the surprise guest that we were all hoping for, Jay-Z, and they shut MSG down with “Empire State of Mind”. Classic!

This was an amazing show, and I’m glad I got a chance to see it in person. A. Keys did not disappoint!

Events: Nina Sky’s 24th Birthday Party

Despite all the drama with their record label, Nina Sky is still are in the mood to party. The twins celebrated their 24th birthday at R Bar in New York City last night. Diplo was on the 1s & 2s while Natalie and Nicole partied with their close friends and family.

Its not hard to tell these two apart, but we always forget who is who. They made it even harder now that they both are rocking jet black hair.

Spotted In NY: Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz at Gotham Magazine Annual Gala

Last night, Alicia Keys Hosted Gotham Magazine’s Annual Gala Presented By Bing at Capitale in NYC. She of course brought along her boyfriend/fiancee Swizz Beatz and the couple looks very happy together.

Looks like they’re really getting close. Alicia’s mom was there as well. In case you missed it, check out a recent interview with Swizz Beatz as he opens up to DJ Enuff about his relationship, and pending divorce from Mashonda after the jump.

Stacy Dash Proves that Being Beautiful Does Not Make Finding Love Easier

The other day, Stacey Dash visited the Wendy Williams Show, and opened up about her new “relationship” with Jamie Foxx, being single again at 43, and more. She also revealed to Wendy that this is the first time in her life that she’s been single, because she always felt that she needed a man to “define” her and to make her “feel beautiful”:

I’m actually back out there [on the dating scene] for the first time in my life,” Stacey revealed. “Since I was 17, I’ve never been single. I think a lot of it was me needing a man to define me and I’m finally a point where I felt I wanted to find myself and it’s so exciting.”

Wendy: You mean, you needed a man to tell you were worthy, to tell you that you were pretty?

“Yes. Actually, I just said that to my dear friend a couple of weeks ago that I realized that I don’t feel beautiful if a man is not telling me I’m beautiful. And there’s something wrong with that. That’s not how it should be so now I’m going to be the one that feels beautiful because I think so.

Because of her self described low self esteem, she also admitted to having slept with all of her now ex-husbands on the first date:

Yeah, you know what happened was I slept with all my husbands on the first date, they said, ‘Marry me,’ I said, ‘Yes.’ …I’m not doing that anymore. At this particular time the kitty is being held hostage.

Its shocking to see that someone as beautiful as Stacey Dash would admit that she has low self-esteem and feels the need to have a man around her to be secure; however, this seems to be something that a lot of women are going through. If women like Stacey Dash, Lisa Raye and even Halle Berry are admitting their insecurities and having issues with men, this is definitely proof that being beautiful does not guarantee that you will have it easier when it comes to love and relationships.

Would You Want Jim Jones to Teach Your Kids?!

Jim Jones recently spoke to Rap Radar and told them, that he plans to teach a music class at a NYC High School for 8 weeks. This is what the rapper had to say about this opportunity:

“It’s definitely going to be fun. I [will] have to go home the weekend before and write out my lessons,” he continued, “This will be the funnest class you can go to and shit but you gonna learn a lot.”

Jones is just waiting right now to hear back from the Board Of Education, to see what the next step is. Lord, help us all!

New York City is Trying to Shut Down M2!

Looks like the city of New York isn’t too pleased with what’s been going down at arguably its most popular club, M2. Apparently, Bloomberg is trying to shut down the club as a result of it being in violation of smoking laws. The NY Times reports:

The nightclub, the M2 UltraLounge on West 28th Street in Manhattan, went on trial last week at a special administrative court that the city uses when it seeks to take away property. If the case against the club succeeds, it would be the first time the city had closed a business solely for flouting a ban on smoking.

City officials have also moved to take several other clubs before the court, seeking to revoke their food and beverage licenses. It has been an open secret for years among the late-night set that there is a network of so-called smoke-easies throughout the city, from little neighborhood dives to glossy, exclusive boîtes, that let patrons smoke illegally.

Health department officials say that the vast majority of businesses comply with the 2002 law forbidding smoking in clubs and bars, but that inspectors have struggled to enforce it at a handful of high-end places that seem to market themselves as smoker-friendly, some even offering loose cigarettes for sale.

Generally, health officials have looked for signs of active tobacco use as part of their inspections concerning other rules, like those for food safety, and have cited clubs for violations that often result in fines of $200 to $2,000.

But they have had difficulty gaining access to the clubs when patrons are actually smoking.

“Some of the clubs where smoking is going on tend to be very, very cool clubs, and a bunch of guys showing up in jackets tend to be very, very uncool,” said Thomas Merrill, general counsel for the health department.

So in recent months, the department has deputized a team of inspectors — many of them younger and hipper-looking than the stereotypical bureaucrat — to work into the wee hours, posing as patrons and hunting for tolerance of smoking by clubs’ employees.

Because the inspectors found many instances of patrons smoking without being asked to stop, the department petitioned the administrative court, the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, known as OATH, to recommend revoking the food and beverage licenses of 16 bars and clubs.

M2 is super-wack and very overrated anyway. Its definitely time for a new hot spot.

Warning to ladies, while Juelz Santana and Lloyd Banks may provide some eye candy to us, there is definitely an over-abundance of half naked ladies for the fellas.
