AllThatsFab.com Talks to Mario!

At the age of only 21, Mario has definitely matured into on of the most vocally talented and intelligent (might I add quite attractive
) men in the music industry. Mario is so excited about his third album which will be dropping December 11th, and he took the time out of his busy schedule to sit with Allthatsfab.com to tell his fans a little more about the album, and himself!
Mario: Yessiirr. What’s up how you doing?
ATF: Good! Thank you for taking your time out the day to speak with us!
Mario: Yup, Yup. Thanks for having me.
ATF: You’ve been around for so long, can you tell me what you feel has been your greatest accomplishment?
Mario: Biggest accomplishment? Awww man. Getting ready to put out a third album. I’m really excited about this project, GO!, December 11th in stores. And that would definitely be my biggest accomplishment so far. I’ve had the number two record, and that’s a huge accomplishment you know considering that a lot of times some people’s records dont even make it to the top ten or top five. It’s a great accomplishment.
ATF: How does this album differ from your recent ones?
Mario: Well, this album shows a lot of growth. It shows a lot of creative growth, vocal growth, um, conceptually everything is different about this record. It’s a lot more edgy, a lot more fun, a lot more— it’s much more musical. Very musical. I worked with like four or five producers, but this one I worked with different producers on every song. It wasn’t just ’cause of who I wanted to work with who was hot at the moment– because some of the producers I worked with aren’t even well known like that, they just talented and we had a great vibe together. So you know I just think the whole structure of the album, the way it came together, is different.
ATF: Any featured artists on the album?
Mario: Well, um, I dont have a lot of features on this project, but Juelz Santana is on the album, and uh–hopefully I can get Alicia Keys before we shut the album. I wanted to do a duet for the project.

ATF: What’s your favorite song on the album?
Mario: Um, as of right now, I would have to say Music for Love?
ATF: Why is that?
***I was shocked when he started singing the song… but it was Great! He got serious vocal skills!***
ATF: NICE!
Mario: Yeah, it’s an incredible song. Very sensual record… of course it’s a metaphor for love in this record. And you know I’m definitely happy about that because music is something that I love.
ATF: So, I’m very curious to know, what was it like having MTV follow you, allowing your fans into your personal life?
Mario: Oh, in terms of the documentary?
ATF: Yes.
Mario: Oh, wow, okay, um. Well.. it was–It was hard getting used to the camera there, but—after shooting this–the camera was the problem. I think that just thinking about how personal it was, thinking about if I want to allow people that much into my personal life. But at the end of the day it was something that was out there already, people had their own, you know, their own idea of what the situation really was. A lot of people made up things about what they thought my mother was doing or what they thought really happened to her. I heard a lot of different rumors and I just think that this cleared up a lot of rumors about what the situation really was, that she was an addict that was in the streets or whatever, but that wasn’t the case, you know, it was just that she was suffering from an addiction. This documentary basically what it shows is just me trying to help her get herself together, and she did. It was hard doing it or whatever but at the same time I feel it helped millions of people.
ATF: Definitely.
Mario: They can probably relate to what I went through. I’ve heard it from fans, you know they come up to me and they’ve been through the same thing but just never knew it was something that I experienced that–they feel like they are closer to me now, not just closer to me but you know, they feel like— it helped them.

ATF: Okay. Well.. you know allthatsfab.com is for the ladies! So, please, tell me what it is you look for in a woman?
Mario: Uh–what I look for in a woman? Well, I like a woman who is ambitious, a woman who, has a lot of pizaz, a lot of style a woman who is creative, and a woman who is open minded.
ATF: Okay, so you must know what the next question is
. Are you single or taken?
Mario: I’m–I’m single. I’m not taken.
ATF: We are based in New York, and we would love to know where your favorite places are to go when you are in NYC.
Mario: Oh, when Im in New York I like Mr. Chows, great restaurant. I like Central Park, I like Marquee, I like Stereo.
I like, uh–I like the village–to go shopping. 5th Ave of course, obviously. I like.. uhh… where do I like to go in NYC? That’s a good question.. 106 & Park.
ATF: So, Mario, any tours in the near future?
Mario: Yeah, I’m working on putting the schedule together now. But unfortunately in December I will be in Australia, Japan, and all of that, so I’m not coming back to the US until January. So if my fans want to know exactly where I’ll be as far as tours, they can check out my myspace page, myspace.com/mariojrecords. I will have the dates up within the next couple of weeks, as far as the tour goes. But right now you have to look out for the album, and don’t forget to check out Crying Out For Me, and really listen to the words.
ATF: Yeah, very good song, I was listening to it today.
Mario: You like it?
ATF: I like it very much.
Mario: Good, I’m so glad that you like it. I love the record, it’s one of my favorite records.
ATF: Give us the date again that your album drops?
Mario: The date, for my album? The firm date is, you don’t have to worry about me pushing it back no more, firm date is December 11th.
ATF: Thank you so much for your time.
Mario: Thank you so much for having me. If you need any information or any updates, I will definitely keep you updated.
Don’t forget to look out for GO! December 11th! I’m really confident that this is going to be the album of the year!
