Last night was one of the most random and fun nights I’ve had in NYC–(and No it’s not because I was within 3 feet of my #1 husband, Common, lol.) My girls and I went out eating, hit up Charles Hamilton’s Party (will provide pictures from that event later today!), then the Common show, then 105 Rivington, then back to Charles Hamilton’s Party. There was too much to do, and we couldn’t make every event last night.

There was way too much going on in the city last night. From the Fader Magazine and Vibe event, to the Complex Mag at the Mark Ecko showroom,  then the Common/Microsoft party, NYC was definitely poppin’. Unfortunately, I was stuck studying for finals, but check our blogger friends who covered these events:

Many celebs came out to celebrate Susan Taylor’s 37th Bday yesterday in Manhattan at a private residence. Oprah, Al Sharpton, Yolanda Adams, Diddy, & Common were among the few celebs to show up. Appears they had a good time.

Looks like Common is going to be seen a lot in NYC since his album is about to drop. He’s also hosting a private Microsoft event tonight, where he’ll be unveiling an apparel line designed by himself.

Looks like I’m not the only one that loves Common’s music and his acting. After starring in Smoking Aces, American Gangster, Street Kings, Wanted (coming out June 27th) and possibly a role as Green Lantern in the upcoming film Justice League, Common has just landed a role in the Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.

Common is currently working with Outkast, the Neptunes, and Mr. DJ for his upcoming album Invincible Summer. Due to his busy schedule, Kanye hasn’t worked on any of the tracks in Invincible Summer, but I’m pretty sure it’ll still be a good album. (more…)
