New Music: Mariah Carey & Lady Gaga

Mariah Carey and Lady GaGa are back at it once again and set to re-release both of their albums. Lady Gaga is on fire right now, so this release is coming at a perfect time. Mariah’s album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” didn’t do so well, so she must be re-releasing it to bring more attention to the project. (Mariah’s album is dope, by the way.)

The album “The Fame Monster” will be released November 23rd, the same day as Rihanna’s “Rated R“. Who will dominate the charts?

Mariah Carey also recorded a single called “100%” which was set to be on the “Precious” soundtrack but was later scrapped. The track was played on Hot 97 during the summer, but was never heard from again. The song has an awesome gospel vibe. Mimi vocals are amazing, you can’t deny that.

All we can say is that this is a legendary combo. It’s rare that two future icons get together on one song. Beyonce and Lady Gaga were very smart to link up. It cute that both songs are phone related.

Spotted: Rihanna & Coco at M2

Rihanna was spotted this past Halloween dressed as a “sexy tiger” at M2 Nightclub as she posed with Ice-T’s wife/booty model, Coco. Both of the girls were their for Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s Halloween Party.

According to Necole Bitchie, she will finally break her silence about “Chrihanna-gate” by appearing on Good Morning America Thursday morning at 7am followed by a 20/20 interview on Friday at 10pm est.

This broken silence comes right in time for her album to drop, of course. Check out the promo below:

Mariah Carey performed Stripped in NYC recently. She did an extremely great job on her performances; she sung “Always Be My Baby”, “We Belong Together”, “H.A.T.E.U”, “Obsessed” and “I Want To Know What Love Is”.

She also plans to do a remix of her current album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel featuring R. Kelly, Trey Songz, T-Pain and many more artists.

Its Friday and we would like to give you some of our favorite videos and new music that hit the internet this week. From Toni Braxton & Trey Songz to Mariah Carey & T-Pain, this week gave a variety of music. The music industry looks like it is finally turning around and improving.

Its remix season once again! Toni Braxton and Mariah Carey, two legends of R&B, have remixed songs off their album to add some more mass appeal. Toni hit up Trey Songz to collabrate with her on “Yesterday” and Mimi called upon T-Pain to work his magic on “Candy Bling”.

Mario is back with “Thinkin’ About You” which is his second single off his new album “D.N.A“. The video was directed by Chris Robinson and co-stars our girl Audra Simmons of RichGirl. The two aren’t together they are just good friends according to Audra. The video was shot in London, that is so fab. We are glad to see Mario grew his hair back, we weren’t feeling the baldy at all..

That chick from Gossip Girl is now a singer?? Well Blair aka Leighton Meester is now a artist and getting a lot of buzz around the music industry. He album is set to come out in 2010. The track that we are posting features the oh so talented Robin Thicke on a track called “Somebody To Love“. Its a very pop driven song, they are going to eat it up at Greenhouse & Tenjune

Chris Brown has released a new ballad off his upcoming album “Graffiti“. The track is called “So Cold” and was produced by Polow Da Don. The song has to be about his love for Rihanna. You better milk this Rihanna mess Chris! The track is really cute, but Chris Brown’s vocals havent improved since his last album.

This past weekend, music executive, Lyor Cohen, celebrated his 50th birthday party in the city, and many of the music and entertainment industry’s elite were in attendance. Russell Simmons took us inside the event through his twitter page, and decided to share some exclusive pictures with us. (Sidebar: Amber Rose is really the only person who can get away with wearing dark shades in the club.)

Last night Russell told me his lifelong partner Lyor Cohen celebrated his 50 birthday. Dj Cassidy was on the turntables. Trey Songz performed while Jay-Z, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Jon Bon Jovi, Kevin Liles, Mayor Cory Booker and Veronica Webb along with many business leaders, artists and politicians attended and everyone had great time. It’s such a cool thing to see friends hang out and enjoy them self and last night we got the chance to see two life long friends and business partners celebrate life. Russell Simmons tweeted some images and words from Lyor’s birthday party thrown by Lyor’s beautiful girlfriend Tory Burch.

Mariah Carey is not putting up with Eminem’s ish anymore. Mimi recently sat down with Ryan Seacrest to tell him about her time with Eminem and let it be known that she basically thinks he is just tired and using her name to make his comeback:

“Eight years ago, maybe I knew that person, kind of, in a very platonic way and yet they’re still using my name in songs in order to boost their career, which I don’t think is working.

“It’s just obsession. … Anybody who would write a song about somebody and try to say nasty, disgusting things about them eight years later, when they’re married, I’m like, I don’t think so.”

Well she told him…NOT!

Mariah Carey and Oprah were at Summerstage in Central Park today. Miss. Cannon visited the Talk Show Mogul to promote her hew album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” and her upcoming movie “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire”.

Mariah has been looking a little thicker these days, but it fits her! She also looked like the old Mariah with her hair and clothes—it looked like she just walked out of the “Someday” video. Check out her performance below at Summerstage today:

The best Labor Day weekend looks go to Kanye West and Amber Rose. These two were spotted at the After Screening dinner for Lee Daniels’ Film PRECIOUS. The film stars Mo’Nique, Mariah Carey, and Paula Patton. It seems odd that they would be at this type of event. Amber loves to stand out where ever she goes, she is really rocking a snakeskin dress to dinner. We love this heffa, she keeps our attention no matter what. In our opinion she actually helps Kanye, we haven’t heard a gay rumor since these two linked up. More photos after the jump..

Not like we haven’t already heard half of the songs off of Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 Album in rotation on Hot 97 ALLL day (sarcasm), but Jay-Z has given MTV the official rights to showcase his album The Blueprint 3 days before it hits stores via The Leak. Jay Says:

I’m excited for people to hear the album . I’m very proud of the work I’ve done, so enjoy it.”

MTV.com reports that you can hear the entire Blueprint 3 on Tuesday (September 1) on The Leak. Hov said a few weeks ago that his main intention was to keep the album focused on the art of music. Wouldn’t you think Jay is going to lose money by allowing his fans to download his music online? That’s really the last worry in Jigga man’s mind because according to recent reports, Jay and B are racking so much money their great great grand children are going to be rolling in dough.

According to Str8nyc.com, Jay and B are on their way to becoming the first African-American BILLIONAIRE couple in the entertainment business.

Beyonce made $85 million last year and Jay-Z’s wealth fluctuates between $400-$500 million (on a career basis). Beyonce’s career earnings (nearly $300 million) are on par with Mariah Carey. This is impressive for Beyonce because Mariah makes the lion’s share of her money rom songwriting and publishing and Beyonce doesn’t.

Like Chris Rock would say in “In Living Color”.. “GOOD LAWD THATS A LOTTA MONEY!”

Sad News: Mariah Carey suffered Miscarriage

It’s being reported that Mariah Carey recently suffered a miscarriage earlier this month. Mariah has canceled a bunch of public appearances and pushed back the release of her new album because of all this. We can’t even imagine how her and Nick Cannon are feeling. Here is what a close friend told the Enquirer

“She had a heavier than normal period and she thought she was miscarrying. Mariah and Nick had been trying for a baby for a while, and the thought that she had lost the child just crushed her. She knows that at age 40 she would be a high-risk mom, and realizes that if she’s going to start a family, she should do it now. She is desperate to have a baby with Nick” says close friend.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Mariah and Nick…
