NY Rappers Trouble With The Law

We all know rapper Shyne is out of jail may be deported, but now rapper Jim Jones has pleaded guilty to a December 2008 incident at the NY Louis Vuitton store when he punched singer Ne-Yo’s friend, Jayvon Smith in the face. Jones was sentenced to serve a few hours in jail, which he already served apparently when he first was in custody of the police, but it does not end there for this situation. Smith now has a $7 million lawsuit filed against Jones, so let’s see how that turns out.

The next rapper in trouble is Method Man who owes the NY State $32,799 from not paying state income taxes between 2004 and 2007. He turned himself into the custody of police, but was released without bail and is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 9. He can get up to four years in jail. Not a good look.

Rappers, we gotta do better. Former Wu Tang Clan member, Method Man shot a fan with a pellet gun after she asked him for an autograph. Instead of getting an autograph, Mary Anderson got hit six times in the stomach and chest. According to Chron.com, Anderson sued the rapper, whose given name is Clifford Smith, in Harris County District Court. She claims she sought an autograph after his Nov. 19 concert in downtown Houston when the incident occurred. She filed a police report and was treated for minor injuries the next day. Method Man has not been served and is not charged criminally.

“She’s doing OK,” Horowitz said. She got an autograph, but he doesn’t know if it is from Smith or another entertainer at the concert, Redman. According to the lawsuit, Smith was signing autographs for fans out of the back window of the bus after the concert. Anderson handed Smith her concert ticket to sign, but then he pulled out the gun and fired at her. She claims she was hit at least six times in the stomach and chest.

Now Method Man, was that really necessary?

Adrienne Bailon formerly of the 3LW & The Cheetah Girl, has just signed to Def Jam Recordings to release a solo album, and L.A. Reid is the driving force behind her project. Adrienne was everyone’s favorite from both groups, but can she really do it on her own. She has released two new buzz singles, Only You feat. Jay-Z and “This Hot”, which was written by Bryan Michael-Cox and produced by The Dream. With all these heavy-hitters behind her, we are hoping she blows. After all, Adrienne actually has killer pipes, and this ain’t some talentless heffa in the booth.

Mario is trying to come back on to the music world radar. Check out the new video is for his new single “Break Up” featuring Gucci Mane & Sean Garrett. Our favorite comedic rap duo, Method Man & Redman, is really trying to make a comeback. They have dropped a new video for their track, Mrs. International featuring Erik Sermon.

Trey Songz has dropped another mixtape to get us by while we wait for his new album, Ready. The new mixtape, Anticipation, is full of those sexy track we love from him. Every track on the album gets you right in the mood to do that nasty, and that’s exactly what he probably wanted. He is definitely giving R.Kelly and The Dream a run for their money, in the sex track department.

Method Man Is Running Into Hard Times

Damn, last week AllThatsFab reported Lil Kim having tax issues with NY, NJ, and CA. Now Method Man is having issues with NY State Taxes. The New York Post reported Sunday: The state Department of Taxation seized a 2008 Lincoln Navigator belonging to the rapper and member of the Wu-Tang Clan, who failed to pay $52,503 in personal income taxes. The luxury SUV was taken at 6 a.m. Wednesday (March 18) from Method Man’s Staten Island, New York home.

Alicia Keys looks amazing in a wife beater and some hip hugging jeans. Some times its best to keep it simple, and she did it fabulously with her long dangling hair. I cant even remember the days when all she rocked were braids.

Last Night Alicia performed at Hot 97’s Summer Jam, which went down at the Giant’s Stadium in Rutherford, NJ.

Alicia went to a rendition of Mary J. Blige’s”Be Happy” right before she let Maino get into his jam “Hi Haters.” Alicia then proceeds to get into her piano and get into Prince flavored, “Like you’ll Never See Me Again.

Alicia changes it up by bringing out tho whole WU Clan! Who would of thought? Raekwon did a piece from “Incarcerated Scarfaces”, Method Man and Ghostface, makes the crowd go wild with C.R.E.A.M and then they really lose their minds when Method Man spits out the classic M.E.T.H.O.D. Man…..Alicia closes it up with “No One”….

What a show!!
