Recession Proof with Payless and Christian Siriano

Christian Siriano, the Project Runway alum, debuted his Spring 2010 shoe collection for get this – Payless! Ankle booties, pumps and Mary Janes in shades of sand and blue were all over his runway and featured everything from straps to buckles to sequins. The line will be sold at Payless, who will tone the shoes down for the mass market, but big cities like NYC and LA will have original designs. Siriano also has a new book out Fierce Style, which is an autobiography/memoir and how-to (style tips, of course!) of fashion. This 23-year old was introduced to the world through reality TV, but he has a lot of experience and credibility within this industry, having worked with bigtimers like Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. Be on the look out for this rising star, 15 minutes doesn’t seem to be enough for him.

I’m not really a sneaker girl, and DEFINITELY not a Reebok girl, but for some reason I’m feeling these. With the proper outfit and accessories, these look like something I could hit up a concert or a laid back show at SOBs in. These are the Reebok Hi Int. Neopolitan, and I’m feeling them. Get an awesome swagger in your heels by following these tricks…

When you are walking in your super fabulous heels, and want to exube an “I’m a diva” aura…what you do is while walking, put your heels down first and then hit the ground with the balls of your feet. You’ll have more balance that way.

Also, try to find something that takes the pressure off your arch, like platforms, wedges.
