BET New Reality Show: “TINY & TOYA”

So it looks like everyone can just get a reality show. Starting June 30th, BET will be airing a reality show starring Tiny (T.I’s wifey) and her BFF Toya (Lil’ Wayne’s Baby Mama). This show has hot ghetto mess written all over it, we will so be tuning in to watch the train wreck. The show will follow the day & life of these two glorified baby mothers. TINY AND TOYA is BET’s provocative, new half-hour docu-drama chronicling the lives of Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and Antonia “Toya” Carter – two dynamic, young women immersed in the craziness of the hip-hop world, but striving to find inner-strength, peace and purpose. On the surface, their real-life story plays out like an urban fairytale – both women falling in love with two of hip hop’s most successful princes (T.I. and Lil’ Wayne) and living the life of the rich and famous.

Set in the heart of Atlanta , against the backdrop of the multi-billion dollar music industry, TINY AND TOYA follows the journey of two best friends overcoming their struggles to discover who they really are, from the inside out. They are tired of being defined by others (in the shadow of their high-profile men) and are determined to rely on each other and the strength from within to find their purpose and build a brighter future for themselves and their families.

Last Night in NYC – Chrisette Michelle, Jay-Z and More

Chrisette Michele had a somewhat last minute album release party last night at Mansion aka M2, and Ginuwine, Joe and more showed up. (Speaking of Ginuwine, he’s making a comeback, and we also had a change to go to his listening session as well. More on that later.)

In case you haven’t heard, Chrisette Michele also beat out Ciara and Hannah Montana to gain the #1 spot on the charts this week for her sophomore album, “Epiphany“! Congrats to her! That’s major. More on the album release party plus Jay-Z, T.I. and more celebs attend Lyor Cohen’s Audi event when you read the rest.

Day 26 and Dawn showed up at Chrisette Michele’s event. We like them here at All That’s Fab, as they always just seem “Happy to be here”.

In other New York event news from last night, record executive Lyor Cohen also hosted a dinner party to celebrate Audi’s TDI Clean Diesel Technology. Jay-Z, T.I., Estelle, LL Cool J and more attended. Pics below.

T.I. and More Promote Non-Violence in Harlem

The “Its Time to Bury the Beef” rally took place in Harlem yesterday, as members of the community came out to express their thoughts on gun violence and speak out against the recent shootings. T.I., Al Sharpton, Kevin Liles, and even Ja Rule came out to support the case. More pics when you read the rest.

Confirmed: T.I. to finally Marry Tiny

Mediatakeout.com recently reported that TI and Tiny are rumored to get married sometime in May. This morning I heard that the date has been confirmed! Tiny and TI will have a little private ceremony on May 19th. Before TI goes in for a year he wants to make sure to wife that up so Miss. Tiny won’t do no wanderin’…. Good luck with that miss lady!

T.I. Parties with Vibe Magazine in NYC

T.I. partied it up last night with Vibe Magazine EIC Danyel Smith here in NYC to celebrate his April 2009 cover. Man, someone could have told me he was in town! lol. Also spotted at the party was artists, Yung LA, and popular NYC club DJ, DJ Berrie.

Speaking of T.I., his new show “T.I.’s Road to Redemption” is really getting rave reviews and has a lot of people talking about it. Its definitely not your average reality show. In case you’ve never had the chance to see it, you can catch last week’s episode in its entirety after the jump.

All That’s Fab Attends BET’s Rip the Runway

This past Saturday, we hit up the taping of BET’s Rip the Runway at Hammerstein Ballroom. Model/actress, Joy Bryant and actor, Derek Luke, hosted the event, and celebrity models included Tocarra (who came out and stole the show EVERY time), Black Buddahfly, and several noticeable faces from America’s Next Top Model. I was actually looking forward to the show this year, because there were several good artists there who performed some of their biggest hits: T.I. and Young Dro performed “Ain’t I“, Mavado performed “So Special“, Keri Hilson performed “Turnin’ Me On“, The Dream brought Fabolous out to perform “Rockin’ That Thang“, Ron Browz and Busta performed “Arab Money” and Bobby V performed “Beep, Beep“. In not so fab performances, the GS Boyz came out and did their hit, “Stanky Leg“. (*sigh*) More pics, commentary and exclusive video after the jump.

I’m a fan of Rip the Runway, and had a great time,because I love seeing models walk to some of the hottest songs out right now. However, I’m not really a fan of models jumping all around and doing the “Arab Money” dance and the “Stanky Leg” while walking down the runway. It really distracted from the clothes, which is the main point of having a fashion show. It was just too much.

Sorry Chavis, I had to put you out there. His “Stanky Leg” was off the chain, y’all.

While we were there, there were several notable faces that we spotted backstage, and in the audience. We caught up with some of the past Fab Men, Lamar James, Miguel Perdomo, and Chavis Aaron, who were also walking in the show.

Laurie Ann Gibson and Michael Bivins were spotted in the audience. (Laurie Ann looks interesting, as usual)

AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur and Dawn Richard (Danity Kane)

And of course, we were there wilin’ out in the audience as well. Haha!

Keri Hilson rocked the crowd in an interesting outfit. The verdict is still out on this, but Keri…It looks good on youuuuuu.

Celebrities Retract Statements Regarding CB & Rihanna

A shocking new detail in the Chris Brown and Rihanna case has emerged. US Weekly recently reported that Rihanna told the police that Chris Brown has been abusive before:

”Brown — who is currently being investigated by Los Angeles county prosecutors after Rihanna allegedly accused him of assaulting her the night before the Grammys — always had a “volatile” relationship with the singer, an insider tells Us.

A Rihanna confidant adds that bruises were clearly visible on the singer’s neck in early December.
Alarmed, “I asked is everything was OK with her and Chris,” says the pal. “She told me, ‘We broke up again.’ I didn’t pursue the issue further.”

Several celebrities have been weighing in on this situation. T.I. was included among that group, and made a general comment when he appeared on Last Call with Carson Daly. E! News is reporting that he then issued a statement yesterday regretting comments he made on the show, and said that he “made a mistake of commenting before understanding the situation.”

When asked about the situation by the paparazzi, Terrence Howard also made a fly by night comment. “It’s just life, man. Chris is a great guy. He’ll be all right. And Rihanna knows he loves her. She’ll be all right. Just everybody’s got to get out of their way.”

He also later retracted his statement: “When they asked me about Chris Brown the other day, I was in no way aware of what he had been accused of. Had I known, I would have never had said something so insensitive.”

Wow. At this point, I don’t fault T.I. or Terrence Howard for their comments. I believe that certain celebrity and gossip sites are to blame for printing wrong information, spreading lies about the situation, and focusing on the wrong elements of the incident. The bottom line is that Chris Brown allegedly beat up Rihanna. Regardless of the cause or reason, this is definitely not okay and should not be downplayed.
