New York has been a little slow lately, but I heard the series premiere party for the reality series “True Beauty” held at Nikki Beach last night was a good turnout. Nole Marin (host and one of the judges from the show), Aaron Reid, Emmi Gruillon (former Fab Man) were a few of the celebs that attended the event.
True Beauty aired last night on ABC. It’s a competitive reality show in which contestants will be living in a mansion in order to find out who is beautiful on the outside and the inside. The show was created by Tyra Banks (duh) and Ashton Kutcher.

Isis King, former contestant on America’s Next Top Model’s eleventh season, will get his sex change surgery on behalf of Tyra Banks. The transgender contestant was surprised on The Tyra Banks Show with this early Christmas gift. The episode will be airing today.

Tyra touches 50’s bullet wound

On Monday in NYC, some of the most influential women came out to honor one another at the 2008 Glamour Women of the Year Awards. These women are powerful, successful, and wealthy. They all deserved to be honored. Some of the nights honorees were Tyra Banks, Condoleezza Rice, Hillary Clinton, Queen Latifah, and more. Fashion Rocks aired yesterday and the show definitely had it’s moments. Rihanna’s rendition of Madonna’s “Vogue” was definitely one of them. This girl’s swagger is serious, I just don’t know what to expect from this chick. Sadly enough, Solange’s performance was definitley not one of her best, there were times when I thought she was breaking into a seizure. It was great to see Beyonce, Mr. Knowles (Joe Jackson) and the rest of her family give her a standing ovation. They showed real support. Now, let’s get to Tyra Banks. Where is her stylist?? Yes, Tyra is rocking an interesting new blonde wig, but what’s even more important is that she won an Emmy over the weekend for the “Most Informative Talk Show”. This is a great accomplishment for this bubbly former model. Tyra won’t be and can’t be stopped!

Tyra Banks graces the cover of Entertainment Weekly Magazine.
And YES!!! she is a mogul in the making. With “The Tyra Banks Show” and “America”s Next Top Model” Ms. Banks has a lot on her plate and in a short period of time has conquered an incredible achievement that a lot of others are still trying to accomplish. Since moving her show to NY, the show has shifted to a more vibrant and blunt audience. New Yorkers dont hold back and honesty is addicting- you just never know whats going to be said or what her reaction will be.
The new “ANTM” will start this Wed. Feb. 20th at 8:00p.m and the show is already predicted to hit over 3 million viewers weekly!!! WoWWWW!
Banks says ” Oprah Winfrey is a mogul, Martha Stewart is a mogul. I’m probably a mogul in the making. I’m almost there.” Ahhhww, pretty yet humble.
Even though I’m sooo not feeling her hair on this cover, I must say that apart from that Tyra Banks is a great role model
