VH1’s Hip Hop Honors awards show went down last night, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Def Jam Records, and hip hop royalty (both old school and new school), definitely represented…at least with the performances. However, the looks on the red carpet were a bit ummm….interesting. Check out some stand outs when you read the rest.

Foxy…just…no. There’s too much going on here.

Sigh…we can’t. We won’t even get into the guys. We’ve had enough of the mess. Let’s just hope the performances were better than the red carpet.

According to Rap Up, the show went down like this.

• The Roots, Eminem, and DJ Jazzy Jeff opened with LL Cool J’s “Rock the Bells.”
• Ja Rule and Ashanti reunited on stage to perform “Down for You” and “Always on Time.”
• DMX collaborated with Gym Class Heroes on his 1999 hit “Party Up.”
• Ludacris and Scarface represented for the South with “Guess Who’s Back” and “Southern Hospitality.”
• Mary J. Blige and Method Man reminisced over “I’ll Be There for You/You’re All I Need to Get By.”
• Dressed as LL Cool J, Rick Ross took the stage to perform “Hustlin’.”
• Trey Songz filled in for Nate Dogg by performing “Regulate” with Warren G.
• Gym Class Heroes, Wale, and KRS-One covered the Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.”
• Foxy Brown and Fabolous closed the show as part of an all-star medley.

This definitely sounds like something that is not to be missed!

Supermodel Jessica White is PISSED @ VH1

Jessica White, the rising supermodel, who appeared on this season of the “T.O Show” is not pleased with how she came across on television. This chick actually told Terrell Owen’s best-friends to “google her” when they asked what type of modeling she does. We love her for that because his home girls are some haters. Here is what Jessica told Essence.com about the whole ordeal…

Reality shows are anything but reality. Creative editing is always interesting to watch and makes for good TV. I was very upset how the episode and how it was edited to make it look as if Terrell left and came back to find me in his house uninvited. I spoke to him after watching it and let him know how it jeopardized my brand and reputation. So I do not agree with the criticism I received because it did not go down like that in real life.

See that’s what happens when you appear on a VH1 reality show, Jessica. The show actually kind of helped her, because we rarely see personality from models. Jessica White is now rumored to be dating Academy Award winner Sean Penn, who was married to Madonna back in the day. We guess TO got the boot.

VH1 Divas Returns in September!

Wow this is music to our ears, Vh1’s Divas is back! If you don’t remember Divas, it’s when all the women of the past, present, and future salute one another. This was always a must-see, you never knew what women were gonna take the stage. It’s such a dope sight to strong talented females being honored for their achievements. But the question is who will take the stage this year? We thought they were done because they ran out of divas. VH1 can’t even answer the question, so they are asking the fan to decide. Read what VH1 had to say after the jump…

“We would love for listeners to weigh in on who would make a great Divas participant. What does the term “diva” mean to you in 2009? Someone heroic? Someone inspiring? Chilli of TLC = VH1 Reality Star? + More

This just has hot mess written all over it. Chilli of TLC is reported looking for a new man, and she is taking it to VH1. What ever happen to her NFL boo, Larry Johnson? (Guess he ditched her like Usher.) She has enlisted the help of Brooklyn relationship expert Tionna Smalls to help her find a man. And it doesn’t appear that this is a rumor at all. We feel it is impossible to find love through reality TV.

Chilli from R&B supergroup TLC, has decided to take the reins of her lackluster romantic situation and launch an all out search for the love of her life in the yet-to-be-titled Chilli Project. Despite huge success as a recording artist and a mother, Chilli has grown tired of striking out on the romantic front, so she has enlisted the help of Brooklyn relationship expert Tionna Smalls.

Not one to let people take the easy way out, Tionna has promised to give Chilli the challenging emotional workout she needs in order to get over the hurdles that have kept her from having the long-term serious relationship she craves.

The series has been picked up for eight half-hour episodes and is set to premiere in 2010. (The Chilli Project is executive produced by Fremantle Media North America. Larry Barron, Kevin Williams, Bill Diggins and Chilli are executive producers. Executive producers for VH1 are Jim Ackerman, Dave Hamilton and Jeff Olde.)

VH1 is really trying to step their game up in the reality show department. Jessica Simpson’s new reality show ‘The Price of Beauty’ , Fantasia Barrino’s show ‘Fantasia’, and Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton of Salt n Pepa will all have reality shows on VH1 this coming fall.

Frank “The Entertainer” (pictured above with his mother that he still lives at home with at 30 something years old), from I Love New York and I Love Money will be starring in his own reality dating show courtesy of Vh1. This should be interesting…Soon enough Taylor Maid and Budda will be joining the reality dating bandwagon.

Casting will be held in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Phoenix, Boston, Vegas and the Jersey Shore, NJ.

Tiffany “New York” Pollard Returns To Vh1 May 4th

Just when you thought it was over… Vh1 announces Miss Tiffany Pollard’s return to the channel we hate to love for the premiere of “New York Goes To Work”. She’ll be working a variety of 9 to 5 jobs selected by viewers. I’m still mad we actually keep up with ‘For The Love of Ray J’ episodes. Upset that we’re actually somewhat captivated by Ray and once in a while we’re even kinda happy to know he’s in the building at a party. Admit it. You’ve missed her. Well good news…—she’s back! Star of the hit I Love New York series, Tiffany “New York” Pollard returns to VH1 and this time she’s ready to…work? That’s right, VH1’s resident reality queen will experience what everyone else in America does—work a real job. She tackled the Hollywood world in New York Goes to Hollywood, and now Tiffany is gearing up to tackle America’s working world in New York Goes to Work, premiering Monday, May 4 at 10PM.

After her rollercoaster journey in New York Goes to Hollywood, Tiffany found out that the acting world is harsh and landing roles isn’t always so easy. So what is a girl to do? Every actress needs a day job, even the queen of reality. Believe it or not, Tiffany will be trying to find a J-O-B…with your help!

Each week America will choose from a list of three possible job opportunities and vote via their mobile phones by texting which job they would like to see Tiffany try. Will she be a Cal Trans sewer worker, a mortuary beautician, or a fast food employee? It will be up to you. And don’t think it will be easy for Tiffany. She’ll be worked, in all aspects of the job! Why again is she doing this? For the money of course. If she can impress her new employers, she’ll receive a $5,000 bonus each week. But, if she quits, fails, or gets fired, she’ll get absolutely nothing.

OMG Real & Chance are coming back again, like we so didn’t see this one coming. I just caught word that casting for 20 new women to compete for the love of Real and Chance, will begin in March. VH1 is going to milk these guys for all they got. I just wish these wannabe video girls get the hint, you are not finding love on a VH1 show! This weekend was Pre-Fashion Week Show, “Clash of the Coutures” Hosted by VH1’s Amanda Diva!

The show was great, Amanda was hysterical…such a crowd pleaser (full of jokes) and the designer’s, AMAZING. It was a jam packed event with celebrities, fashionistas and media swarming all around. The end of summer is here and there is no better sign of that, then the NY Merecedes Benz Fashion Week at Bryant Park. This show was definitely the kick off!

N8KD, Stacey Angela, T Simone Designs, F.O.G. House, Illwear by Ileana, Industry of Indulgence, Abasi, Dzhavael, Abi Ferrin, Essence Flowers and MTV Presented Li Cari by Jazmine Whitley (Amanda Diva, wasn’t on the list of designers, but she raffeled off 2 of her one of kind, self designed canvas totes, they were so hot, I wanted one, needless to say, I wasn’t a winner.)
