After 20 Years, Blind Man Wakes Up and Can See, Figures Out Why (Video)

55-year-old Kevin Coughlin was blind for close to 20 years, suffering from Leber Optic Neuropathy, a hereditary condition that impairs and destroys optic nerve cells, according to CBS New York. Then one morning, Coughlin woke up and said he would see, even looking in the mirror and noticing shapes and light. Doctors say reversing the disease is nearly unheard of, but now he has close to 70% of his eyesight back. How could this happen? Coughlin credit changing his lifestyle by meditating, praying daily and changing his diet to be rich in antioxidants.
