Ram Revives The Warlock Pickup
The pickup truck is an iconic American vehicle, accounting for more than 18 percent of total vehicle sales across the country. The 2019 Ram 1500 pickup, previously manufactured by Dodge, is the fifth generation Ram pickup truck.
Alongside the fifth generation pickup, Ram has also released the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock edition. Marketed as a homage to the previous generation of Ram full-size trucks, the modern Warlock is an eye-catching vehicle both inside and out.
“The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is proof positive that value never goes out of style,” declared Reid Bigland, the FCA-appointed head of Ram Trucks. “With its sinister monochromatic exterior, award-winning interior and a great price, this mean machine is certain to resonate positively with consumers.”
The first thing you’ll probably notice about the Warlock pickup is the iconic matte black Ram Rebel grille and heavy-duty suspension system. If you would rather a different color, Ram offers the Warlock in nine different color variants. The customization options don’t end there. Depending on your driving requirements, the Warlock pickup can support a 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain on 8-speed automatic transmission. The standard Warlock is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine – but if you need more horsepower, you can turn to the more powerful 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine.
First-generation Ram pickup trucks sported gold wheel rims, gilded pinstripes, and oak cargo beds. While you won’t find these details on the Ram Warlock, you will notice full-body bumpers, 20-inch wheels, reinforced tow hooks, and a 1-inch block-based lift kit. While classic Ram pickups supported a two-door cab, the Ram Warlord is only available for quad and crew cabs.
The Ram Warlock interior invokes both functionality and luxury. The all-black interior uses a spacious 40/20/40 split design for the cab seating. At the center of the instrument panel is an 8.4-inch touchscreen panel. The touchscreen device supports the Ram infotainment interface, Uconnect, and can be used to play music, display maps, and connect phone calls.
The basic Ram Warlock model, which includes the 4×2 drivetrain and the standard V6 engine, has a starting price of $37,040.
