When was the last time you had sex on a weeknight? If you can’t remember right away, it’s been too long. You need to spice things up– sex during the week can help keep you both relaxed, satisfied and emotionally connected during those stressful days.
Here are a few things you can do to make your week nights more exciting!
1. Get Rid of the TV
Couples who have a TV in the bedroom spend more time watching it. Couples without a TV in the bedroom have more sex. Which one of these couples do you want to be?
2. Get Rid of the Kids for the Night
Don’t let your kids get in the habit of falling asleep on your bed, or crawling into bed with you every night. Sure, sometimes they need you—but sometimes you and your husband need each other more.
3. Leave Your Troubles at the Door
Don’t get into the habit of discussing all of life’s problems as you are getting into bed at night. The last things you should have on your mind as you get into bed together are the unpaid bills or the day dare debacle. Talk about those issues somewhere else. Make the bedroom your sanctuary, where you can relax together.
4. Go to Bed Together
Are you in the habit of going to bed at different times? When you finally make your way into the bedroom, is he already snoring away? Try retiring together at night. As you lay there, you’ll have time to talk a little, or do other fun things, before falling asleep.
5. Shower Together
If you need a little motivation, don’t just go to bed at the same time at night. Take your showers together at night. This is sure to help stimulate some intimacy before you turn in.
